The boys

We had a great time showing Luke around Larabee State Park. That is one of our favorite places. The boys played on the toys while we waited for the Boohers. Then we took them all down to the water to explore.
Luke is really coming out of his shell. He wrestles with the boys and loves to bounce on the trampoline. We are working hard to teach him about chores. Apparently at home he had no chores or household responsibility. He said they had someone come in to to the housework. They also ate out for almost all their meals. I don't know if that is typical or just how his family did it. It must be very strange to live with our family where we eat most of our meals at home. It is definately an adventure for all of us.
My big news for the day is I am going to college. I start on the 22nd of this month. Until yesterday it has been very surreal to me. I bought my textbooks yesterday and spent around $140. That may not seem like a lot to other people but it is more than I have spent on anything for myself in years.

How fun to host an exchange student! My family did that two summers in a row when I was in high school. Our first one and I became such close friends that her parents invited me to come visit them in Japan...and I did! The next summer! Its was awesome.

Congratulations on going to school that's very exciting! Where are you going and what are you studying? How old is Luke and how long is he staying with you?
