Luke's first Thanksgiving

We had the best Thanksgiving. I am so greatful for our friends Connie and Dan who have been hosting us for so many years. This fall has been so busy for everyone in my family that having more than a week off is bliss. Having Luke with us this year has brought so many things into perspective. He sees things in such a pure light that I can almost remember when things really were simple.

Every year the kids make candy "turkeys" for the placesettings. The picture of Luke writing on the table is another tradition. Connie has a table cloth that she puts our for Thanksgiving only. We write what we are thankful for this year on it. It is a 10 year history (so far) of what everyone was thankful for that year. I love this because I can look back and see the story of our lives.

Luke really enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He was a bit overwhelmed by the people but he loved the turkey.
