We just got back on Monday from my favorite vacation. Every year we go to family camp in Idaho. Seven days of no dishes, arguing, cooking, cleaning, worrying, or stress. We go with the same families every year. It is so great to watch the kids grow up. (most of the families we don't see any other time)
This year was by far the best ever. The connections we made with the other families was so blessed.
I spent a great deal of time on the beach enjoying Cindy, Loretta and Kris's company. These ladies shared so much of their lives with me. I came away from our time refreshed and encouraged to face the coming year.
I watched the dad's in the group take time with the kids and felt so blessed. These are very special people.
This is a church camp so there was morning worship and evening worship complete with great music, inspired drama and a wonderful speaker.
Sawyer enjoyed the giant swing. I was so proud of him because I tried it after him and almost chickened out. He also made a tye dye shirt and a model rocket. He took a photography class with Eric and came out with a really great picture.
Sebastian took a more social approach this year and spent time with whoever was on the beach. He did great at beach volleyball and really enjoyed the new water toys. He also had a great time with Liz. :)
Eric spent a lot of time playing volleyball and his team won the tournement for the week. Again. He also went paintballing, giant swinging, climbing, wakeboarding, sea wasping and eating.
With all the activity it's hard to believe we rested but somewhere in all the fun we did manage to sleep.
We are already planning for next year.

Yeah!!! Your back. In blog and physical form. This won't record my hug, so live meeting is required. Can't wait to see you.
